Felony Charge Defense

Kissimmee Felony Defense Attorney and Lawyer, providing experienced Felony Charge Criminal Defense legal services in Kissimmee, Orlando, and the Central Florida area.

A felony conviction could have a serious impact upon a person's life.  A felony conviction will result in the loss of certain basic civil rights, including, but not limited to:

  • Will include your right to vote;

  • Your ability to sit on a jury; and

  • Your right to own, use, or possess a firearm.

Convicted felons are often prohibited from employment in government occupations and jobs involving the handling of money or valuables. A felony crime conviction may also be a significant stumbling block if you later decide to pursue a professional field of employment in the medicine medical field, care taking, teaching, real estate, financial services, or the practice of law.

If convicted of a felony crime, a person who is already licensed in a particular profession may be subject to a review of his or her "character and fitness", jeopardizing the person's ability to continue to work in that field.

The León Law Center, P.A., represents the legal rights and goals of those involved in felony charge or other criminal defense issues in Kissimmee, Orlando, Osceola County, Orange County, and the entire Central Florida area. For a confidential legal consultation, please call 407.483.1182.

In the State of Florida the degrees of felony crimes include:

  • 3rd degree felony: punishable by up to a $5,000 fine, five (5) years prison and/or probation;

  • 2nd degree felony: punishable by up to a $10,000 fine, fifteen (15) years prison and/or probation;

  • 1st degree felony: punishable by up to $15,000 fine, thirty (30) years prison and/or probation.

Felony charges may include, but are not limited to:

  • Aggravated Battery (with a deadly weapon or serious bodily injury, or to an elderly person or pregnant woman);

  • Aggravated Fleeing to Elude;

  • Child Abuse;

  • Computer crimes (larceny of money or intellectual property or possession of pornographic, lewd, and lascivious material.);

  • Drug Crimes;

  • Felony Battery;

  • Felony DUI with serious injury / death or prior convictions;

  • Forgery, Fraud, or Grand Theft;

  • Homicide (manslaughter or murder);

  • Lewd & Lascivious conduct;

  • Possession of concealed firearm (or with a prior felony);

  • Racketeering;

  • Resisting Arrest with violence;

  • Sexual Battery.

Depending upon the charges a person may be facing, a criminal history, and any other special circumstances, a criminal conviction may result in:

  • Hefty fines;

  • Potential jail or prison time;

  • Suspension of your driving privileges;

  • Having your license revoked;

  • Potential vehicle forfeiture;

  • Community service;

  • Lengthy terms of probation;

  • Potential forfeiture of property or assets;

  • Forfeiture of certain basic civil rights.

When facing felony charges in Kissimmee, Orlando, Osceola County, Orange County, or the surrounding Central Florida area, hiring an experienced felony charge defense attorney or lawyer may provide the best opportunity to achieve a fair and reasonable resolution.
